Marcus Berry Joins Fighting Illini Football Staff

Illinois football coach Tim Beckman announced today the hiring of Marcus Berry as director of player personnel, after serving in the same role at North Carolina for the past four seasons.

"Marcus Berry is an exciting addition to our staff as the director of player personnel," Beckman said. "Marcus has great experience evaluating and analyzing players, which will only help the Fighting Illini football program get better. I've known Marcus for more than 10 years, and he has always had great attention to detail and a keen eye for talent. He did a fantastic job at UNC in the same capacity. Marcus will provide some outstanding assistance in educating our coaching staff and evaluating talent as we continue to move this program forward."
