Groce: Penn State game was an odd game, no flow with 52 fouls. Players adjusted well in second half.
Groce: Being really smart about recovery with two-day prep. Michigan has had the week off.
Groce: Can't stop Michigan's three-point shooting, just hope to limit it. Great spacing, great personnel.
Groce: Thought Illinois did a good job against the three in Game 1. UM was 5 for 15.
Groce: Saw Trey Burke a lot in high school. He's continued to get better. Has a great deal of respect for the UM point guard.
Groce: Burke has always had a competitive toughness about him and that's where it all starts.
Groce: Michigan is a juggernaut on offense. Have to pick your poison. Illinois defense now is a lot better this time around.
Groce: Offense hurt Illinois more than anything in first game. Didn't make a lot of shots.
Groce: Stauskas is a very versatile player. One of best freshmen in country.

Groce: Need to convert more FTs. PSU just a grind-out game. Made enough plays to come out on top, have to do that sometimes in Feb
Groce: Team showed great poise by bouncing back after going down early. Have to be smart how they use practice with quick turnaround
Groce: Probably can't stop Michigan 3 point shooting, hope to limit it. calls offense "a blender." Have to make choices as a D
Groce: Limited Michigan to 5 threes in Game 1, felt good about that. Sloppy turnovers led to too many easy baskets
Groce: Can't make a lot of mistakes against Michigan. They're too talented, too deep.
Groce: Saw Burke a lot in high school. Greatest quality about him is his competitive toughness, admire that as a coach
Groce: When you're 3rd in the country in offensive efficiency this late in February, you're an offensive juggernaut. And they are.
Groce: We have to be unflappable when we play on the road. Did at Minnesota and at Gonzaga. Experience helps.
