35-14 Cinci. Looking for the improvement that I have been talking about.

Baby steps.

Let's hope that our Illini can keep this game respectable unlike Purdue did today.

Someone help me out.....are we simply short on talent right now? Why are we so far off from the other Big 10 teams?

Why does Northwestern and Northern Illinois have more talent than us? If I was a high school talent in this state I would choose U of I over NW or Northern. What is going on!!!

This team is so bad they would be a mediocre FCS team. I dont see them winning another game.

They're gonna hang 50 on us.

Offense will put up some points but our defense is just too bad. Cincy will be too much however I think it'll seem a closer than my prediction indicates.

1 down, 13 to go in being undefeated 14-0 national championship season.

In all seriousness, I hope we don't get spanked TOO hard by Cincinnati, or Mike Thomas is going back with Cincinnati team bus.

We need to force field goals, and quite honestly Cincy to have an "off game". Im not jumping off the cliff like everyone else today. I saw some good things today. We will really see if this staff is better because good coaching staffs fix problems week to week.

I think we lose, perhaps very badly...on ESPN2 or ESPNU, no less.

On the plus side, maybe this means we can beat Purdue later this season.

I'll predict the coach who gets a penalty later in the week.

You mean which Illini coach will get the sideline penalty this week?

I will be at the game cheering loudly. I see a high scoring game with Cincy winning 45-34 but an exciting high scoring game.

Yes. We don't even look like a Big Ten team right now.

Unfortunately, we do look like a big ten team. The bottom half of the big ten would struggle to compete in the MAC right now.

We easily could've beat SIU by 3+ touchdowns. For some reason the team decided to let off the gas, especially the offensive play calling. It happens in week one every year to many good teams. You get a few touchdowns in a row and then you expect the lesser opponent to lay down. But let's not forget that the defense had a goal line stand when they needed one.

I'm predicting a win 42-38.
