Shayok is a junior and would have been their leading returning scorer, so a little surprising.

Beat me to it. Yah I like this kids game. He can shoot the rock. Offense would definitely revolve around him. Maybe some Tony Bennett news??? Indianers next coach??

Probbaly doesn't want to spend another minute in that offense

If there is a less exciting way to win than they do I can't think of it. Kids want to showcase their offensive talents for their NBA hopes. Not happening in that system.

Justin Anderson, Malcolm Brogdon, and some guy by the name of Klay Thompson might disagree.

Winning a lot and getting exposure through making the NCAA tournament showcases talent just fine, even in the most boring offensive systems. Ask Wiscy players like John Leuer or Frank Kaminsky.

Some people might call Wisconsin BB boring....I call it a thing of beauty.

I don't disagree with any of that. I just hate that slow, ugly offense. I'm guessing I'm not the only one.

Brogdon was a 2nd round pick who may win rookie of the year. Not sure he's the best example of talent being showcased in college, though there are other issues there.

Big guy with a lot of tools. Tough to develop in a Duke program where you aren't going to get much PT. Would be a huge get, but there will be many suitors.

I'm going to hold out hope he stays. A no nonsense coach could do him and his potential some good.

This kid was hyped up at Duke big time and never looked the part when he was in the game his Freshman year. Could be the system but when I saw him play he didn't look remotely close to a top 100 player IMO. Semi Ojeyele would tell you its the system....

Agreed. I'd hate to see him leave then go on to become a 1st round draft pick. I'm just assuming he leaves due to the fact that we cleared our bench at the end of the Boise State game and he still didn't get in.

So far, that's all we have seen. You're right in that a change in coach and scheme could do him some good, but his motor, as previously mentioned, leaves a lot to be desired. Can a scheme or coach force him to be aggressive or is that something that can't be taught?
