Bounce-back time. Juice plays like he's on a mission, 320 yards passing and 3 TDs. Two-game win streak forthcoming heading into OSU game.

Illinois defense gives up more points than it should to an average offense. Juice is unable to overcome the difference, and the Marching Illini become the highlight of the afternoon for a polite crowd working on perfecting the golf clap during the football game.

I just noticed from looking at our schedule that aside from the EIU game, we have failed to score more than 20 points in a game starting at 11AM. In games starting after 11AM, we have scored 24+. Not saying that because this is a 2:30 kickoff that we'll play well, but that has certainly been a trend this season. Even the losses to PSU and Mizzou were "better" losses than to MN and Wiscy, in terms of how the team played.
I predict we come out fired up with something to prove. ILL 38 Iowa 28 |

How many TD's has Illinois scored against Iowa in the last two games? I don't see Illinois having a breakout game this year. With that, I'll go with Iowa by 3 to 7 points. Hope I'm wrong.

Iowa- 21 Juice's three passing TDs and an Eller field goal will beat out Shonn Greene's 3 rushing TDs. |

30-24, Illini. Iowa might have a better team than we do, but I think we'll be in a better mental space.

We play the bestest of all the teams on the field and finally score a touchdown against Iowa, but only 1

the seemingly "every other" trend continues... I think we win a shootout, juice and co put up big numbers but we give up 200+ to Greene on the ground.....

I've already made it clear to the Illini that losing on my wedding day is not an option. Especially since one of my bridesmaids is married to a Hawkeye fan.
That being said, the TV at the reception hall better have good reception, damn it! Folks keep insisting that I'll be focused on other things, but Illini sports govern my life, no matter what day it is... Illini 30 Herky 21 __________________ My permanent state of being. |

Traditionally a low scoring game, but it seems like Iowa has figured out ways to score this year with Shonne Green and the Illinois offense is as explosive as they come.
35-21 Illinois over Iowa. |

I'm curious to see what kind of changes are made that Zook is talking about.

I'm tired of having to bounce back from bad games. That being said . . .

Zook had a confernece after practice that was cut short. He seemed very irritated by the players but at the same time he siad the team would be ready ready to play, i think these guys r all business this week. I wouldn't b surprised if come saturday u dont see many smiles, all attitudes. I wouldn't want to be Iowa now.

So - the Zooker is 0-4 vs. Iowa. If I remember, Wisconsin was 0-4 in the Big Ten before playing us last week. I predict that Zook breaks his Iowa curse in a big way.
