Illinois missed potential game-winning 31-yard field goal with 5 seconds to play. Overtime.
The Cats prevail: 28-21 in OT. The ramifications: NW might go to a December bowl (thanks Bill), IL has a basketball game tomorrow. Awaiting a "Big Announcement" from the AD's office in the next 24 hours. (Of course, I was anxiously awaiting the same "Big Announcement" 'bout this time last year too, but hey that never came.)
