One needs but a brief passing glance in the direction of Gene Keady to understand that it's been a long season for Purdue basketball. Tomorrow Illinois will face a reeling 4-7 Boilermaker team fresh off its first home loss to Wisconsin in 22+ years. As tempting as it may be to pencil in the W, Purdue will be ready for the Illini. Coach Keady holds a 25-21 record against Illinois, including a shocking win at the Assembly Hall last year. Illinois repaid the favor at Mackey on March 3 in overtime to clinch a share of the Big Ten Championship.
