Chester Frazier Responds

Michigan St. Spartans vs. Illinois Fighting Illini

Chester Frazier rebounded from a dismal game at Purdue to lead Illinois to a 57-50 win over Michigan St. tonight at the Assembly Hall. Frazier led all scores with 17 points. The Illini had a 15 point lead early in the 2nd half before the Spartans began to slowly close the deficit—fueled in large part to brutal Illinois shooting at the free throw line—but UI finally managed to close out the ugly contest in the final minute. As they begin the 2nd half of Big Ten play, the Illini are still hanging in the NCAA Tournament picture. Up next: Minnesota comes to town Saturday night. Thread. Tupper. Recap.
