The losing streak hit 5 and the record is under .500, yet there are signs of improvement for Illinois basketball. After taking a loss at Wisconsin Thursday, the Illini had a golden opportunity to win at #10 Indiana Sunday down 2 with the last possession—a possession that ultimately fizzled—nevertheless a tremendous effort. Up next they're back home Wednesday night against Michigan (8:00pm).
