The accolades keep pouring in for junior quarterback Juice Williams, whose 431 yards of total offense in Illinois' 45-20 victory Saturday at Michigan were the most by any player, Wolverine or opponent, in the 501-game history of Michigan Stadium.

''Juice Williams is the Big Ten's best quarterback,'' wrote Adam Rittenberg, who covers the Big Ten for ESPN.com ''Williams has clearly moved to the top of the list. Through the first six weeks, he's the clear choice for Big Ten Offensive MVP.''

After his team scored the most Illinois points ever against Michigan - in 90 games and 110 years - Ron Zook allowed himself a brief smile while walking toward his locker room.

"There's a lot of mystique about this place," Zook said. "Like I told our football team, it's a privilege to come into Michigan Stadium and be able to come out of here with a win."

Brit Miller's nine-tackle, two-sack effort against Michigan is expected to earn him the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award.

Miller had four tackles for loss and broke up two passes. His sacks came on consecutive plays in the third quarter, ending a Michigan drive.

Then, on the fourth play of the third quarter, Williams tossed a bomb down the left sideline to junior Jeff Cumberland.

Though safety Charles Stewart flashed in front of the Columbus, Ohio, native as the ball arrived, Cumberland snagged it and turned upfield for a 77-yard score - the longest touchdown pass for Illinois since 1985.

Illinois (3-2 overall, 1-1 in the Big Ten Conference) hosts Minnesota (5-1, 4-1) in the homecoming game at Memorial Stadium Saturday (11 a.m., ESPN), the first of three at home over the next four weeks.

The game against Minnesota is also the first home game in four weeks.

"We're excited to come back home,'' coach Ron Zook said Sunday. "I'm sure it will be a full crowd with homecoming and a lot of folks here. Hopefully, everyone has a good taste in their mouths.''
