Pressure's on Zook to prove he can win consistently

A renowned recruiter who was fired midway through his third year as Florida coach, Zook immediately upgraded Illinois' recruiting. In 2007, he guided Illinois on the nation's biggest turnaround. The Illini posted nine wins and played in the Rose Bowl for the first time in 24 seasons.

Then Illinois flopped last season, losing its final three games, and couldn't post back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 18 years.

So the question remained: has Illinois' program matured into a winner under Zook?
