Benn injury another major Illini loss

Illinois lost the season opener 37-9 to Missouri. The other major loss was star receiver Arrelious Benn, who left the game with a sprained ankle.

Benn injured the ankle while blocking on the game's third or fourth play, said coach Ron Zook said, who wasn't sure if Benn would be ready when Illinois hosts Illinois State in the home opener at 6 p.m. Saturday (Big Ten Network).
