Donsay Hardeman's hits backfired

"I have a reputation of big hitting," he said. "I've been doing that all my life. I just play my game and don't worry about it. Either they call it or they don't. Last year, every time I hit someone I got a penalty."
As it turned out, the personal foul was the least of Hardeman's problems against the Tigers. The senior was burned badly for the game's first touchdown, and he later missed a tackle on Danario Alexander while trying to bring him down with what else? A big hit. Alexander bounced off his pursuer and went for a 31-yard gain.
