Can Illini rediscover magic?

When it comes to the Illini football team, we're still very much in the information-gathering stage.

One ugly defeat. One difficult-to-gauge victory. One bye weekend during which players could visit their hometowns, watch football on television or head to the mall. Some did all three.

There have been a few dangerous injuries, but for the most part, catastrophe seems to have been avoided.
