Illinois did nothing well

A unit that led the Big Ten in passing and ranked second in the league in total offense last season failed to score for the first time since a 33-0 loss to Rutgers on Sept. 9, 2006. Loaded with receivers and guided by a four-year starting quarterback, the Illini were expected to light up the scoreboard. Instead, it's a collage of turnovers, penalties and simple mistakes that end drives.
