Crandall Head needs two surgeries to repair ACL

Rich South High School senior guard Crandall Head's knee surgery didn't go as planned Tuesday in Chicago.
The younger brother of former Illinois guard Luther Head and one of three Illini basketball commitments from the class of 2010 endured two surgeries to repair a torn ACL in his right knee, an injury that most likely will sideline him for the season.
"The first surgery didn't go too good,'' said Bo Delaney, Head's stepfather. "The doctor came by and said he wasn't satisfied in what he found in the X-rays. He wanted to go back in and tighten it up.''
