Juice's career ending in regression

Williams was back in his starting job Friday at Cincinnati, where Illinois was hoping for a miracle against the unbeaten, fifth-ranked Bearcats.

The game turned into a painful microcosm of Williams' decline. Playing against a Cincinnati team exposed as being deficient on defense, Williams had several chances to make big-play connections in the passing game.

But he overthrew open Fred Sykes on one play, overthrew wide, wide open Chris Duvalt on another, then failed to see an open Arrelious Benn on what could have been a long gain.
