When did IL start recruiting you?
"The first I heard from Illinois was in the spring after my junior year. Coach Gilbert sent me a quick note asking me to come out to camp. I did along with 8 other schools. Vandy, Cincy, Toledo, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and OSU. I did well at camp, but coach wanted wait until he saw some of my senior game film before he moved forward with recruiting."
