I think we saw the Illini take an evolutionary step in their offensive identity, especially during the second half of tonight's game. It seems as though the guards finally found the patience to truly look to circulate the game through Tisdale and Davis first, which not only led to a lot of high percentage shots for the two, but also made NW more sensitive to defending the interior, allowing the guards to eventually get more kickout/ball-movement open looks and better driving lanes.
