Scheelhaase probably locks up QB spot

Bootlegs and sweeps will be a staple with Scheelhaase. He ran for 68 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries while also completing 15-for-21 for 155 yards in the scrimmage Saturday. Sophomore Jacob Charest, the second-stringer, was 3-for-15 for 34 yards with one interception.

Freshman Chandler Whitmer, who left high school early to compete in spring practice, is a distant third in the quarterback derby. He twice fumbled exchanges with running backs Saturday.
