After spring ball

I can barely imagine beating Missouri. I had my hopes up last year (7 point favorites!), only to be absolutely crushed. I told myself I'd never allow positive thoughts again. It hurt too much.
That said -- can you imagine if we beat Missouri? 1-0, staring at SIU and NIU. 3 wins in 2009, and then 3 wins in September? If we found a way to beat them in the final game of this series, I can picture myself walking out of the Edward Jones Dome, finding some random elderly woman on the streets of St. Louis, grabbing her by the shoulders, and exclaiming "if we beat Indiana, Purdue, and Minnesota at home, and we're going bowling! BOWLING!"
And yes, after 3 straight years of sitting that game out and watching on TV, I'm thinking of going this year. Mostly for stupid "what if?" reasons. What if Nathan Scheelhaase throws down a 2002 Brad Smith performance? What if Vic Koenning really does work miracles? What if Blaine Gabbert has been abusing Blaine Dalton's Hydrocodone dealer? What if we somehow win?
I can't think about it any more. I'm changing the subject.
