Newest Illini football commit Chris O'Connor: 'Nothing better than Illinois'

"I took a visit to Northwestern, I took a visit to Wisconsin and I took a visit to Michigan State and compared all of them to Illinois, and Illinois still came out on top of everything," O'Connor said. "They've offered me since late March (Illinois was his first offer). They really liked me. Everyone else said they liked me, but they hadn't done anything else. I had a for-sure thing with Illinois. Their athletics and academics are best in the nation. Everything boils down to academics for me. There was nothing better than Illinois."
