Tom Osborne: Nebraska fans backing move

Osborne said the move has received strong support in Nebraska.
"I think it's been very positive," Osborne said. "Frankly, I thought it might be 70-30 in favor of the switch. But from what I've heard, it's been more 90-10, 95-5. Very little opposition. Of course, I don't hear from everybody. But most people have not been hesitant in voicing their opinions."
Osborne let a bit of news slip out during his talk. The Big Ten wants to eventually play nine conference games. But that can't happen, Osborne said, until 2015 at the earliest. Too many league members have nonconference contracts to allow it to happen any sooner.
