SOC - Southern Illinois

The game? I'm honestly not too worried. I've read all kinds of crazy stuff the last few days about Mississippi losing to Jacksonville State and Kansas losing to North Dakota State, and how those programs are in better shape than ours, and since we're playing a top-5 FCS team, we might lose by 17.

I just don't see it. SIU has a fine program, and maybe they'll come out all fired up like WIU in 2007 and give us a run for our money. But, as with every FBS vs. FCS game, we should be able to wear them down. We're bigger, stronger, faster, and, most importantly, we have twice the depth. By the middle of the third quarter, we should be in I-think-we-can-get-7-yards-on-every-running-play territory. With the occasional Leshoure-off-right-tackle-for-41-yards.
