Statistically speaking

What jumps out? 24th in scoring defense. This number looks even better when you consider it was done without one single drive-stopping interception. 24th in scoring defense while only 66th in turnovers gained? Yes, please. I truly believe that interceptions will come - we were oh-so-close to two of them on Saturday. Add some INT's, continue to force fumbles with well-timed (and well-placed) hits, and that scoring defense number will go down even further. (Then again, fail to readjust to a mobile quarterback - and the Big Ten has better mobile quarterbacks than Chandler Harnish - and watch that scoring defense number rise.) Bottom line: last year we were 88th in scoring defense after three games. This year we're 24th. I'll take it.
