After the game, Koenning told his team to realize how good they can become. And, true to the Ehrmann doctrine, to weave that into their personal lives.

"I told them they need to go to class like that and study like that. It isn't something you just show up on the football field and do. You have to live your life like that, and then it all comes to fruition on the football field.

"But if you live your life in an undisciplined manner, that stuff will come back to get you on the football field."
