Nathan Scheelhaase Big Ten Freshman of the Week, Derek Dimke Co-Special Teams Player of the Week

Scheelhaase accounted for 212 yards passing and running to help lead the Illini to a 33-13 road triumph at Penn State. The freshman quarterback connected on 15 of 19 passes (78.9 pct.) for 151 yards and a touchdown and added eight carries for 61 yards (7.6 avg.). Scheelhaase picks up his second freshman of the week award this season after being honored on Sept. 13.

Dimke connected on all four of his field goal attempts and three extra points to help lead Illinois to its first victory at Penn State. The junior kicker connected on boots of 31, 37, 41 and 50 yards to become the first Illini to make at least four field goals in a game since 2006. The 50-yard field goal marked his second kick of 50 yards or more this season following a career-long 52-yarder against Missouri. Dimke nabs his second career weekly laurel after being honored on Nov. 29, 2009.
