Reilly O'Toole: Sun-Times Player of the Year
November 27, 2010 9:16 AM
A dead-on passer, dangerous runner and cool-headed leader, O'Toole is the Sun-Times Player of the Year.
"He had a good junior year, but he had a lights-out senior year," CBS College Sports recruiting analyst Tom Lemming said. "He has the height and arm strength, the poise and confidence to make it big at Illinois."
O'Toole also has the kind of numbers that would seem to predict success at the next level. After completing 62 percent of his passes for 2,119 yards and 24 touchdowns with three interceptions last fall, he has boosted his accuracy to 75 percent while throwing for 3,005 yards and 40 scores with just two interceptions.
