Small crowd sees big victory for Illinois men's basketball
February 2, 2011 7:49 AM
Before a brave crowd of 3,470 on a night when it was a good decision to stay on the couch, the Illini improved to 15-7 overall and 5-4 in the Big Ten before playing at Northwestern on Saturday (noon, CBS).
"Our backs are against the wall," said Davis, who had five dunks in seven made field goals. "This was a must win in my eyes. It's a one game playoff here on out. Game 7 every night. We have to win."
