Rough road takes Illini to Evanston

It's never easy to win a Big Ten Conference basketball game on the road. This year is no different, and it might even be more difficult.
Big Ten road teams have posted a 14-40 record in conference play, including Ohio State's five road victories and Purdue winning twice away from Mackey Arena. This isn't a bunch of whining from Big Ten coaches and players. It's just a parity party.
"Wednesday proved road wins in this league are at a premium right now," Illinois forward Bill Cole said in referencing Indiana's victory over Minnesota and Iowa's shocking rout over Michigan State. "You have to go out on the road, fight it out and eke out a win."
