Ron Guenther skips out on the rest of the Illini Caravan

The notable absence Thursday was the boss himself, Director of Athletics Ron Guenther, who decided to back out of the remaining Caravan stops even after university president Michael Hogan told the Champaign News-Gazette, "I like working with Ron. We should have this resolved in the next seven, eight, nine days.

"I'd want to see a chancellor in place before we make a change. I'm not crazy about making that decision by myself."
