What the search committee must consider

This is Illinois we're talking about.
Not the school, the state. Illinois. The Land of Lincoln. We're the flagship university from the 5th largest state in the country, and we've never taken advantage of it. That can end with this hire.
No pressure.
Obviously, I'm talking football and basketball here. Yes, I understand that being an athletic director is about graduation rates and fundraising and budget meetings and evaluating the performance of the track coach and presentations to the trustees. But you know what makes each one of those jobs easier? Successful football and basketball programs. In that order.
