Jereme Richmond and the NBA Draft

I don't know why those workouts were missed. We've written all along that Jereme will have to convince an NBA team he's committed to the cause and his past is in the past. From the NBA guys I talk to, and trust, it is a mixed bag. One guy still thinks he's a late first-round pick. Another guy says no one is going to spend a pick on a guy you can't rely on.

A friend of ours, Jon Givony of DraftExpress, who does a great job, told me this morning the interview process was big for Jereme Richmond. So far in that aspect he's fared well.

"To his credit, he's had some great interviews," Givony said. "He's admitted he made a lot of mistakes - 'I'm very raw, I've made some mistakes.' At least he understands where he is. That's like the first step. The second step is getting somebody to buy into that."
