Zook a little more at ease this offseason

After a make-or-break season a year ago when he survived with a 7-6 record and the program's first bowl victory since 1999, Zook enjoyed this summer. The winning season pulled Zook away from the hot seat -- although he never seems too far from that unenviable spot -- and put more money in his pocket, not to mention more hip in his hop.

The icing on the wedding cake was watching both of his daughters get married this summer.

"I learned how to take orders and stay out of the way," Zook said Thursday during the first of two Big Ten Conference media days. "I also learned the meaning of organized chaos."
