Clemson transfer Clear adds to receiver depth

Meet Brandon Clear, another weapon in the Illinois football receiver corps. Outside of Camp Rantoul, he's essentially a secret.
A big, fast receiver who can break press coverage at the line of scrimmage, Clear had only six catches in three seasons at Clemson. After graduating with a marketing degree, he decided to transfer to Illinois, where the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder has one year of eligibility remaining.
"I was just looking for a place where I could flourish and help the team out," said Clear, who picked Clemson over Illinois out of Hoover (Ala.) High School. "I wouldn't say I'm a secret weapon. I would say I'm a hard worker who will have a lot of opportunity."
