Game 5: Northwestern at #24/22 Illinois game notes

The Illinois/Northwestern game will be nationally televised on ESPN2 with an air time of 11 a.m. CDT. Beth Mowins (play-by-play) and Mike Bellotti (color analyst) will call the action with Bart Fox producing and Kelly Atkinson directing. The game will also be streamed live at ESPN3.com.
The "Land of Lincoln" rivalry trophy will be up for grabs when the Illini open Big Ten play against Northwestern this Saturday in the university's 101st Homecoming game. The Illini have lost three straight conference openers since winning at Indiana, 27-14, in the 2007 Big Ten opener.
Saturday's game will be the 105th meeting between Illinois and Northwestern. Illinois leads the series 53-46-5 overall and 25-20-2 in games played in Champaign.
