LaTulip said he's a point guard on the club circuit and a shooting guard with Mount Prospect. He measured himself at 6-foot-1 with shoes. He said the Illinois coaches made no guarantees in terms of playing time or future scholarship money. But he's focused on making a difference over the course of his college career.

"They don't want me to have any expectations. If I just come in and bust my tail every single day, work as hard as I can, I'll earn what I earn," LaTulip said. "That's what I plan to do -- work as hard as I can work and see what happens."
