Weber: start of this year "more exciting because of unknown"
Weber: some questions were answered but there's still a lot to be proven and seen. One thing he knows, team plays hard.
Weber: big unknowns for team are experience and maturity. Only way to test it is to "play games and see what happens."
Weber: worried that freshman Devin Langford wouldn't come back to UI after 4th of July, he did and didn't want to go back to Bama
Weber said team lacks "starpower." Challenged guys to be the guy who comes out of nowhere to be star, like Wisc's Jordan Taylor
Weber: will use "actions" to start motion offense and help ease newcomers into it. Said its usually Xmas when "it all clicks" in off
Weber: Shaw and Henry both have lost 15 lbs or so since arriving a little "chunky" in June. Each has to find their niche.
Weber: Meyers Leonard "as gifted as anybody" but was humbled after last year. After Italy trip, he struggled again with all the hype

Weber said he has challenged forward Tyler Griffey to become the best 3-point shooting big man in the country. He's made 11 in 2 seasons.
Weber says freshman Devin Langford can play 4, 3, 2 or 1. "He might be our best passer to be honest."
Weber says to be successful, #illini need "someone to come out of nowhere and become a star, a name everyone recognizes."
Weber thinks press could be team strength. Coaches have asked if he can press in Big Ten. "No one really does. We'll give it a shot."
