Ohio State football: Defense has gotten run over on road

But all anyone else can go on is the way host Miami racked up 240 yards rushing in a 24-6 win over the Buckeyes in September. Then there was the 232-yard rushing night for Nebraska last week, with most of the Cornhuskers' offense coming in the last 22 minutes as the Buckeyes watched a 21-point lead dissolve into a 34-27 loss, the biggest collapse in modern OSU history.

This is not your Ohio State defense of last year, but that's not a huge surprise. There are nine new starters compared with this time a year ago. And one of the missing is defensive end Nathan Williams, a dynamic pass-rush specialist who probably won't play again this season after suffering a knee injury in the season opener.
