Illinois vs Purdue

Having watched most of the PU-PSU game from saturday, here are my thoughts:
# PSU beat PU largely due to turnovers. In state college. What I saw were two very evenly matched teams and the statistics bear this out. This is the opposite of the IU-PSU game in which PSU really dominated but IU stayed close due to PSU turnovers.
# PU has a well conceived and well executed offense. They do a good job of mixing things up, passing out of running formations and visa versa, keeping the defense a bit off balance. TerBush isn't a great QB by any stretch but can run and throw moderately well. Their offensive line does a good job of executing on runs. They are quicker than our line, using a lot of pulling and trapping action to create seams for the quick PU backs to scoot through.
# Outside of their FG kicker, PU special teams are good.
# Hard to evaluate the PU defense given that they were going against the PSU offense. But they clearly have a better defense than IU.
# I would be very surprised if the game this Saturday is a blowout.
