Illinois-Purdue: 5 keys

Will the homecoming crowd have an impact?

Maybe. Just 45,000 are expected at Ross-Ade Stadium, which seats 62,500. The short distance and easy ticket access, plus a 6-1 start, should mean some Illinois fans in the stands. Purdue hasn't played any better or worse at home, beating Middle Tennessee State in a close game and Minnesota in a blowout. It also lost by 28 at home against Notre Dame. With a coach who is under a bit of fan duress, a slow start by Purdue could send them to the exits or even have them turn against their own team.
