Whitney Mercilus named Nagurski Trophy finalist

The award is presented annually to the nation's top defensive player as selected by the Football Writers Association of America.

The winner will be announced Dec. 12 and presented the trophy at the Westin Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.
