And while Thomas has stayed true to his pledge to address these matters after the season, two of his recent decisions could be interpreted as signs a change is coming.
For one, it would be common procedure for the AD to travel on the team charter to a game in Minneapolis. But Thomas, who is in Cancun with the basketball team, will not do that. Instead, he has arranged to travel to Minnesota on his own Saturday morning, which makes sense.
It would frankly be an awkward trip to have the man who holds the fate of every coach on the flight sitting in their midst. No matter how this turns out, Thomas traveling on his own is at least thoughtful.
