Larry Austin Jr. is exactly what Illini are looking for

Austin Jr., a shooting guard listed at 6-foot-1, has been hyped so extensively that his legend has turned him into something he's not. To this point, at least, he's not a pretty player. He doesn't offer dazzling dribbling skills and a silky jump shot.
Right now he's a gritty player who beats you with effort. He doesn't take a play off. He plays fast and hard and, as an underclassman, is the leader of a roster that features eight seniors. He's the kind of player you win a lot of games with.
