D.J. Richardson hopes for United Center redemption
December 17, 2011 10:25 AM
In his prior two trips to Chicago, Richardson suffered two disappointing losses -- Gonzaga in overtime as a freshman and last year's UIC defeat. Making the losses even more difficult was Richardson, who takes immense pride in his shooting, experienced two of his less memorable shooting performances, connecting on 1-of-9 from 3-point range total.
On Saturday, Richardson plans to redeem himself when the No. 19 Illini return to the United Center to play UNLV.
"I want to go up there and not lay an egg," Richardson said by phone after practice on Thursday.
