Illini in foul mood

The most glaring stat from Indiana's 84-71 win against Illinois was the difference in free throws. Indiana shot 42 while the Illini took 15 foul shots.

"We (were) fouling. No fault of the refs, the refs called good fouls," Illinois' D.J. Richardson said. "We made some stupid fouls in the first half. They called some fouls our way. We've got to do a better job of attacking the basket. That's what they did to us."

Meyers Leonard, Brandon Paul and Nnanna Egwu fouled out as the Illini were whistled for 30 fouls. Only one Hoosier, Cody Zeller, committed as many as four fouls and Indiana was called for 16.
