Ohio's John Groce still leading candidate to be Illinois' next coach

Ohio's John Groce remains in negotiations to become Illinois' next men's basketball coach, and most expect him to be exactly that. But sources told CBSSports.com on Wednesday that a deal still has not been reached, and that Ohio is making a push to keep him.

Illinois athletic director Mike Thomas reportedly ignored questions about the topic Wednesday at a press conference to introduce his new women's basketball coach. Groce has also remained silent on the issue.
