Jenkins also displayed his 9 7/8 -inch hand span, a physical trait 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh noted Thursday night when ticking off Jenkins' attributes.

Asked about his hands, Jenkins removed them from his pants pockets Friday, unfurled his fingers and smiled.

"In high school, they called me E.T.," he said. "... So I got picked on a lot for my hands, but they came for good use for something."
