Larry Austin Jr. doesn't have a scholarship offer from John Groce and the new Illinois staff. It may well be coming for the Springfield Lanphier sophomore guard, but the first-year coach won't rush initially. Groce wants to get to know the Austin family better, see what type of kid the youngster is and, more than anything, just look each other in the eye and have a man-to-man conversation.
