Illinois commit Michael Hermosillo runs over Foxes for record night

Hermosillo got some key blocks and then turned on the jets for a new school single-game rushing record of 351 yards on just nine carries, surpassing the previous record of 337 yards set by Garin Harcar in 2003.

"I think it was the blocking in front of me all night," said Hermosillo, who rushed for five touchdowns. "Cyrano Rayfield, Tyler Skolek, Nick Neurohr, Bobby McNutt and Austin Bowden were amazing all night. Even on the last run that got me the record, I had a cutback and the guys never gave up. The other guys like JD Bryant and everyone deserve just as much credit."
